We have celebrated baptisms, launched ministries and groups, served our neighbors, reached the world through our school and missionaries, and watched God change hearts and communities.
We look back with gratitude for His faithfulness and move forward with expectation for what He will do next. That is why we are launching ONWARD, a generosity initiative flowing from our discipleship culture, inviting our church family to expand our impact locally, regionally, and globally.

Where We've been
This isn't just our history, it's God's faithfulness on display.
Humble Meetings
Christian Life Center began on August 14, 1952, as First Assembly of God in Layton, Utah, starting as a small gathering of just eleven people in the home of Bob and Ruth Pfaender. What began as a humble meeting has grown into a vibrant church family with deep roots in our community.
FaithFul Leadership
Faithful pastoral leadership in the early years helped the church grow and build a strong foundation. In 1986, Pastor Myke Crowder became Senior Pastor with a vision for growth and discipleship that still shapes the church today.
Growing Influence
Under his leadership, the church expanded its facilities and launched Layton Christian Academy in 1993 to nurture children in faith and academic excellence.
Growing Outreach
As CLC grew, new ministries were launched, including Love My City Project and Iglesia CLC , reaching families across our community. In every season, God has remained faithful, building community and expanding His kingdom.

Growing Together
Today, Christian Life Center is a church committed to loving God, loving people, and serving others. Nearly 700 people gather with us each Sunday, with another 2,000 joining online, as lives are transformed through hope, healing, and purpose in Christ.
Spanish Ministry
Iglesia CLC continues to thrive, creating space for Spanish speaking families to encounter Jesus and build authentic biblical community. Nearly 150 individuals gather each week for Sunday services along with Tuesday night gatherings and events throughout the year that strengthen faith, discipleship, and connection.
Shaping Futures
For 30 years, Layton Christian Academy has equipped students from preschool through 12th grade to pursue excellence rooted in biblical truth. Today we serve nearly 600 students from more than 50 nations, many who come for a quality education and leave with something greater, a life transformed by the gospel.
Practical Compassion
Through Love My City, we serve hundreds of families each month, meeting practical needs while creating space for prayer and meaningful relationships. In 2025 alone, we distributed nearly 125,000 pounds of food and helped almost 12,000 individuals, building trust, offering hope, and living out the gospel in tangible ways.
Onward to Layton
We believe that transforming Layton and beyond happens through intentionally serving our city, discipling hearts, and building authentic community one relationship at a time.
True Community
Each year, we launch nearly 60 groups across Layton and the surrounding areas, ranging from running groups to Bible studies, creating real spaces for people to connect and grow. Our heart is to meet people where they are and help them take intentional steps toward discipleship, authentic community, and spiritual maturity.
Growing Impact
We believe Layton is full of opportunities to share Christ’s love through service, compassion, partnership, and presence. Through Love My City, we partner with local organizations, serve those experiencing homelessness, provide essentials like diapers and formula, pray with those we meet, and continue expanding our reach as lives are changed through the compassion of Jesus.
Beyond Today
Through VBS, we reach over 200 kids each year and introduce them to Jesus in engaging and meaningful ways. We are committed to growing that impact by expanding outreach and creating more opportunities for kids and families to experience Christ.
City Connection
Our Encounter Night Block Party is a community focused outreach designed for the whole family to connect and experience joy together. With food, games, worship, and a gospel message, it creates a natural and powerful opportunity to share Christ with our city.
Transformation
We are believing for deeper discipleship. CORE is not just a path but a culture, and we want every person at CLC to move from simply attending to living fully engaged and transformed in Christ.
Expansion
We are believing for broader community impact. Through ministries like Love My City, we will continue meeting real needs in our city with practical help and genuine kingdom love.
Compassion
We are believing for stronger global partnerships. Through missions and opportunities like our summer project in Córdoba Spain with Convoy of Hope, we want to carry the gospel wherever God opens doors and trust Him with the next chapter.

The Olson's
For more than 28 years, the Olson family has faithfully served in Israel, building relationships within the Jewish community and sharing the hope of Jesus with courage and compassion. Through long-term presence and gospel witness, CLC continues to invest in ministry where the roots of our faith began.
Tajikistan & Beyond
CLC supports missionaries in Tajikistan and other spiritually strategic regions where access to the gospel can be limited and costly. Through prayer, generosity, and partnership, we are helping advance the Kingdom in places many will never see but heaven fully knows.

Our church has led and supported mission efforts in South Africa, Peru, Jamaica, Belize, and beyond mobilizing teams to serve, build, and proclaim Christ. Through these trips and the international outreach of Layton Christian Academy impacting students from more than 50 nations CLC’s gospel influence reaches far beyond Utah into the nations of the world.

In Summer 2026, CLC will send a team to Córdoba, Spain, partnering with Convoy of Hope to help build and launch a community outreach ministry modeled after Love My City. This effort will create sustainable, local impact meeting practical needs while opening doors for the transforming message of Jesus.
