Hey CLC Family,
For years, Christian Life Center has been a place where people encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and discover how God can use their lives. We’ve celebrated baptisms, launched ministries and small groups, served neighbors, reached the world through our school and missionaries, extended our reach culturally and seen God change hearts and communities. We look back with gratitude for all God has done, amazed at His provision and faithfulness. And now, filled with expectation, we move boldly forward—believing He is leading us into even greater impact.
That’s why we’re launching ONWARD — a generosity initiative built out of our CORE discipleship culture — inviting our whole church family to join God in expanding our impact locally, regionally, and globally.
This isn’t just about today’s provision. It’s about stepping forward together — prayerfully committing our lives and our generosity to the next chapter God is writing at CLC.

Where We've Been

Humble Beginnings
Christian Life Center began on August 14, 1952, as First Assembly of God in Layton, Utah, starting as a small gathering of just eleven people in the home of Bob and Ruth Pfaender. What began as a humble meeting has grown into a vibrant church family with deep roots in our community.

Faithful Leadership
Faithful pastoral leadership in the early years helped the church grow and build a strong foundation. In 1986, Pastor Myke Crowder became Senior Pastor with a vision for growth and discipleship that still shapes the church today.

Growing Influence
Under his leadership, the church expanded its facilities and launched Layton Christian Academy in 1993 to nurture children in faith and academic excellence.

Growing Outreach
As CLC grew, new ministries were launched, including Love My City Project and Iglesia CLC , reaching families across our community. In every season, God has remained faithful, building community and expanding His kingdom.
Where We Are

Reed Richards
Founder & CEO
Today, Christian Life Center is a church committed to loving God, loving people, and serving others. We’re not defined by buildings or programs, but by lives being transformed as people find hope, healing, and purpose in Christ.
Sue Richards
Co-Founder & CFO
Each week, people from across Northern Utah gather to worship and grow together in faith — from seekers to long-time believers, students to young families. Alongside our English services, Iglesia CLC continues to thrive, creating space for Spanish-speaking families to encounter Jesus and build authentic biblical community.
John Storm
Head of Product
Layton Christian Academy has been shaping young lives for over 30 years, equipping students from preschool through 12th grade to pursue excellence while being grounded in biblical truth. Through a strong international program, students from around the world come to Layton for an education and often leave with something even greater — a life changed by the gospel.

Onward to Layton
and to the ends of the Earth

Sue Richards
Founder & CEO
As we look ahead, CLC embraces both place-based impact and global mission. We are fully committed to Layton — not as a temporary stop, but as a mission field filled with neighbors and families who matter deeply to God.

Reed Richards
Co-Founder & CFO
We believe Layton is full of opportunities to share Christ’s love through service, compassion, partnership, and presence — not just programs. Our relationship with the city and local organizations continues to open doors for meaningful, lasting impact that reflects the heart of Jesus.

John Storm
Head of Product
At the same time, CLC has never limited its vision to Utah. From missionaries like the Olsens in Israel to long-standing global partnerships, we see how God is moving across cultures through the faithful investment of people right here in Layton.

This commitment to both local and global mission means we are sending, supporting, and serving wherever Christ leads. From meeting practical needs to strengthening churches and families, CLC is moving forward with purpose, faith, and a heart to see lives changed.
where we are going
Looking ahead, we believe God is positioning Christian Life Center for even greater influence in the years to come.

Transformation
We are believing for deeper discipleship. CORE is not just a path but a culture, and we want every person at CLC to move from simply attending to living fully engaged and transformed in Christ.
Expansion
We are believing for broader community impact. Through ministries like Love My City, we will continue meeting real needs in our city with practical help and genuine kingdom love.

Compassion
We are believing for stronger global partnerships. Through missions and opportunities like our summer project in Córdoba Spain with Convoy of Hope, we want to carry the gospel wherever God opens doors and trust Him with the next chapter.

Stories
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony
-Revelation 12:11
Stories remind us who God is, what He has done, and what He is still doing. Every testimony, from someone taking their first step of faith to a family changed through outreach or a missionary sharing the gospel overseas, points to His goodness and faithfulness.
These stories form a living legacy, connecting our past to our present and shaping our future. Church is not just about Sundays or programs, it is about lives transformed by Jesus.
Your story matters, and so does the story of this church. As we move forward, we want to hear, share, and celebrate all that God continues to do.
