CLC Leadership

Pastor Crowder moved to Layton as Senior Pastor of Christian Life Center in 1986. He has been in ministry for over 40 years and is the founder of Layton Christian Academy which has around 600 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Pastor Crowder and his wife, Marsha, have a great vision for CLC and look forward to continuing in what God has lead them to accomplish in Utah.

Pastor Rob currently acts as the Executive Pastor. He has been actively involved in various CLC ministries since 2001.  Prior to his current position, he served as Athletic Director at Layton Christian Academy, assisted his wife, Ashley, in our children’s ministry, and was our Youth Pastor for over 7 years.  Rob has a passion for seeing people connected to each other and connected to God.

Pastor Ernie has been in the ministry for over 30 years as a pastor and missionary. He joined the staff at CLC in 1999. Pastor Green works with the various ministries of CLC and is a great asset in the area of teaching and counseling.

Taylor serves as the Discipleship Pastor, overseeing everything from Encounter Nights,Life Groups, Young Adults and a number of other projects. Tia leads as the Preschool and Women’s Ministry Director, bringing creativity and care to both areas. Married since 2019, they share a deep passion for serving others and building community. Together, they’ve worked in various nonprofit roles, including supporting individuals in recovery, assisting those experiencing homelessness, and contributing to leadership development programs. Their combined experiences have equipped them to help others grow in their faith and relationships.

Chris has been a part of CLC since 1986 and has worked on staff in various positions since 1992 including Christian Education, Media, Director of Facilities, and Music Pastor. Chris has a vision for the music and media ministries that will accent the vision and ministries of CLC to reach our community.

Andrew Ponson serves as the Worship Pastor at Christian Life Center, helping lead and shape the church’s worship gatherings. With a background in communication, music, and ministry, he has been involved in worship for 25 years and enjoys playing multiple instruments. His heart is to help people encounter God more deeply and draw near to Him.

Originally from Aruba, Andrew is fluent in four languages. He is grateful to serve alongside his wife, Bridgette, and their two wonderful kids, Brightley and Archer.

Nik Justice is our Children’s Pastor, leading Kingdom Kids with a passion for creating a safe, fun environment where kids are excited to learn about God’s love and grow in their relationship with Jesus. He has been a part of kids’ ministry for 16 years, starting with running sound and serving in various roles before stepping into leadership. With an associate degree in technical theater and a bachelor’s in film production, Nik uses his creative gifts to craft engaging videos that share the message of Christ. A lifelong Utahn and alumnus of CLC and LCA, he is honored to serve alongside an incredible church family, dedicated to nurturing the next generation in faith.

Keaton Speaks serves as the Production Director at Christian Life Center, helping create a seamless and engaging worship experience. Originally from Dallas, Texas, he has been involved in worship and production for 13 years, with a background in music and studio management. His heart is to serve behind the scenes, using his gifts to point people to Jesus.

Keaton is blessed to serve alongside his wife, Autumn, as they prepare to welcome their first child. He also enjoys photography and videography, finding beauty in the little moments.

Kate is the Accounting Office Manager at CLC, overseeing church and school finances with a passion for numbers and organization. With 13 years in Children’s Ministry, three years in Accounts Payable, and now serving in accounting, Kate has always had a love for finance and administration. She attended an all-girls office management high school and took courses in HR at Weber State and the University of Utah. A military transplant to Utah, her family fell in love with the transparent preaching of Pastor Crowder and has been part of CLC for nearly 20 years. She feels blessed to serve in this role and is honored to support the mission of CLC for years to come.

Terri oversees our Growth Track discipleship process, helping our congregation to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus as well as their relationships with people.  A retired Air Force officer, she has been part of CLC for over 25 years since she was assigned to Hill AFB.  She has over 20 years of volunteer experience in youth ministry, 13 of which were at CLC.  She teaches Bible studies and discipleship classes and serves on the church board of deacons.  Her husband, Gary, serves CLC on the production and security teams and he serves LCA as a sports photographer.  Both of their daughters graduated from LCA.

Pastor Elizandro and his wife Lilia have been the most incredible leaders of Iglesia CLC, growing this ministry from 5 to 150. They are a great part of the CLC Family.
