Am I a Child of God?
Without Christ we are all hopeless, helpless messes. Although positive thinking or positive self-image may sometimes make our lives a little better, positivity will never fix us.
However, anyone who embraces Jesus Christ and invites Him to be Lord of their life becomes a new creature!
If you have not yet begun this relationship with Jesus Christ, then may this page show you what you can become. If you have begun this relationship, then check out the lower portion of the page!
May this page help you embrace this truth and the freedom and life that it brings! The only way we are Children of God is when we are what the Bible refers to as "reborn". This simply means to place your faith in the work of the death burial and resurrection of Christ. While also leaving our old life behind us and embracing God's way of life and growing in our relationship, and knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:21-22 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.(NIV)
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (NIV)
John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (NIV)
If you’re looking to start a relationship with Jesus, it begins with believing in what He’s already done for you—dying on the cross for your sins and rising again. It’s about turning away from your old way of life and choosing to follow Him. From there, it’s a daily journey of getting to know Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and surrounding yourself with others who are also following Him.
Saying a prayer doesn’t save you—trusting in Jesus and what He did for you does. But prayer is where we start. It’s how we talk to God, express our faith, and take that first step toward a real relationship with Him. If you'd like to start a relationship you can pray your own prayer or use the one below as a guide.
A Simple Prayer:
“Jesus, I believe You are real. I believe You died for me and rose again. I know I’ve messed up, and I need Your forgiveness. I’m choosing to follow You and trust You with my life. Help me to know You more, change me from the inside out, and guide me every day. Thank You for Your love. Amen.”
